Various add-on and conversion parts have already found their way to the Sportster. And again and again there are new ideas, so that the Sportster may already look different again...
A Harley-Davidson is a project and is never finished. That's what makes this motorcycle so appealing. I love driving but also customizing it.
Origin unknown
The Sportster was built in 2001 and only slightly modified when I bought it spontaneously on eBay in 2011. I had not previously inspected, nor test driven and only after the photos and the description auctioned. Drove it there, test rode it, loaded it on the trailer and took it home. That was the beginning of my Sportster story.
Since then, the Sportster has undergone many transformations, received and removed additional parts and finally even changed color.
Below are a few impressions from the bikes history.
I would like to recommend a couple of books that I really enjoyed and fit the theme of Harley-Davidson, Sportster and motorcycling in general. For all who love the brand, the bikes and the lifestyle of Harley-Davidson, motorcycles and motorcycling. Enjoy reading.
